Greymouth > Franz Joseph

This morning Alan drove us further down the west coast before making stops in the township of Hokitika, famous for Pounamu (greenstone) and the tiny town of Ross for gold rush history. Heading south again we entered the Westland National Park, an area containing dense forests, scenic lakes and many of the southern alps highest peaks to our real destination, the glaciers!
