St Kilda Festival

For the past 30 years, the second Sunday in February sees the streets of St Kilda come alive with music. Like 'fete de la musique' in Paris, big and small impromptu acts fade in and out from one to the next as you walk the crowded streets. Although not nearly as big, Paris can't match the sunny beach-side settings of St Kilda Fest, even with Paris plage.

Some pretty big name Australian acts were on the center stage.

We ended the evening with a trip on the 'swings' ride. This one was so tall it was like the old carnival ride on steroids. Catching a dusk view of the festival seemed like a good idea at the time, until the wind shook the whole thing.
