Chris > From the Air France lounge in BKK, on our way to Vietnam.
Steph booked this extra ticket since it was the cheapest way to
Indochina and allowed us to use our old status with Air France one last time. Of course we arrived here in plenty of time to enjoy a slice of France and were happy to hear the flight has been delayed. So we decided to indulge in French wine with French cheese. The copies of the weekend Trib, FT and Wall Street Journal, all carefully bundled into one for the flight. What luxury for backpackers! I even made myself a club sandwich while Steph put a dent in the all-you-can-eat crisps. This sounds quite petty to you, I’m sure, but it was a real treat for us! After lunch and a much needed shower, the 747 from Paris came in fashionably late to take us on board and on to Hanoi. Like so many times in the past, the service started with a "Bonjour Mousieur" and transports you back to France from the runway.
