Last days in Shanghai

Chris: On our last night we went for a two hour massage (£6), indulged in cheap pirated DVDs (fantastic high-def quality btw) and must also admit to a few western meals...to reset our stomachs from all the dumplings of course.

Now we're on our way by backpack and bus to the more southern towns of Hangzhou and Shaoxing.
Hangzhou has been a lakeside getaway town for the Shanghainese, poets and great thinkers over the years. Then it's on to one of the smelliest places in china, Shaoxing, where the odor of 'stinky tofu' fills the streets. This canal town is also famous for producing China's rice wine, so hopefully we can avoid the smell and taste some 'drunken' dishes (cooked in the sweet wine).
